I am a Licensed Professional Counseling in the state of North Carolina (and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in my home state of Montana.) I have nearly ten years of counseling experience with my undergraduate degrees from the University of Montana and my Master’s degree in Art Therapy from Marylhurst University in Portland, Oregon.

I have practiced in a variety of clinical settings including residential treatment centers, juvenile shelters, foster care agencies, outpatient settings, comprehensive school and community treatment programs, and intensive in-home services.

I have extensive experience in working with families and children of all ages. I use several different therapeutic approaches depending on the clients’ needs. I most often incorporate cognitive behavioral approaches to my work, helping clients learn how their thinking affects their relationships and lives. My Master’s training was in Art Therapy, which is another approach I use regularly. All art is a form of communication and expression, in the therapeutic setting this can be very effective bringing about self awareness and change. As all people and their needs are unique, so too is my approach with each client.
